Summary of Results – Clark Healthy Workplace InventoryThe overall score of the assessment is 85 implying theorganization moderately healthy. Clack cultivates a respective workplace environment, enhanced communication environment and improved employee compensation. Also, the organization’s employees enjoy high levels of job satisfaction at the organization.


Identify two things that surprised you about the results. Also identify one idea that you believed prior to conducting the Assessment that was confirmed.Two things that surprised me are that the Company excels in promoting respect at organization and also provided a respectful workplace environment. It is rare for organizations to promote respectful workplace environment due to differences that do exist within the workforce.

One idea I was sure of is that effective communication is a top priority for the Clark Organization. Communication allows effective service delivery in healthcare organizations.


What do the results of the Assessment suggest about the health and civility of your workplace?The results suggest that the health and civility of my organization are excellent. If I was to assess my organization, I am pretty sure that I would obtain a score of 90 and above. Some of the issues derailing Clark organization such insufficient methods of conflict resolution are addressed clearly at my workplace.

Explain how the theory or concept presented in the article(s) relates to the results of your Work Environment Assessment.

The concepts on the articles revolve around civility. Organizations are required to promote civility at workplace though encouragement of collaboration, communication, respect and trust between the workplace and the entire organization.

The concepts in the articles relates with the workplace assessment because the organization works towards delivering on the concepts such respect, collaboration and inclusivity at workplace.


Explain how your organization could apply the theory highlighted in your selected article(s) to improve organizational health and/or create stronger work teams. Be specific and provide examples.In the article, the author has proposed the use of DESC models to enhance conversation among the employees at workplace. DESC is an acronym for Describe, Explain, State and Consequence. My organization can use the model to enhance employee conversations. For instance, during the change to a new technology, the management can describe the change, explain its relevance, state how it will work and explain the consequences of lack of the new technology in the future.


General Notes/CommentsCommunication, respect, collaboration, conflict resolution and reasonable employee compensation are drivers of success within organizations. Companies failing to embrace these attributes never succeed.
