John Hopkins has a vision to improve the quality and affordability of healthcare. They have many processes implemeted as part of their strategy to achieve this goal. Some of those processes including implementation of the following:

Incorporate patient, family member and employee perspectives into clinical care delivery.

Control expenses through greater transparency and accountability.

Develop and implement clinical pathways that improve quality and reduce unwarranted variation in care.

These processes contirubte greatly to the overall quality assurance. The reason being that when patients are perceived as those deservent of quality care, the framework changes to one of high quality assurance. Addiotanly, by cutting out unneccesary costs, we are working towards reducing healthcare costs which means lower healthcare premiums.

When writing an outline for any paper the important thing to remember is structuring it in a way that even the most uninformed reader can gain insight or knowledge on your topic. You want to make the flow both logical and in chronological order (if applicable). For most business writing, the following research paper structure is below:

Title Page – title should allow a reader to understand the intent of the paper in 1-2 sentence lines; this will either deter or encourage the reader to continue reading based on what is relevant for their research needs.

Table of Contents – all good papers have an index of where to find what information, for those that are limited on time. Also, this sets up the structure of the paper so the reader knows what to expect.

Executive Summary (if applicable) – for individuals who are limited on time, this max one page summary will provide the reader all relevant information for making decision without needing to read the details throughout the paper. Typically this includes the goal of the paper, focus points, and recommendations (call to action).

Introduction – this should set the scene for the paper, establish its intent, goals, and what to expect (if applicable)

Body 1 – key point to argument/intent

Subpoint – references to support key point

Body 2 – key point to argument/intent

Subpoint – references to support key point

Body 3 – key point to argument/intent

Subpoint – references to support key point

Recommendation (if applicable) – synthesis any primary or secondary data collected and draw conclusions in which decision-making can be based on

Conclusion – summarize the paper and recommendations for concise understanding

References – to show credible relevant sources to paper

Appendices (if applicable) – graphics, tables, and other items relevant to paper
